Blog: Western Democrat

This well-designed and frequently updated blog is doing for the Western states what Marching Orders is trying to do for California. They have some good coverage of California, too.

I can't vouch for every point in every entry. In particular, the multiple references to John Kerry as being too 'brie and chablis' to suit the author's taste makes me about as crazy as all circular-firing squad tactics do (especially — if I may mix metaphors — when they come from the losers' bench). On top of that, the jeans-and-boots stuff smell to me like the "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" loser talk of folks who've lost to the man from Crawford to. (The twist on that concept is that they're actually sort of saying, "If you can't beat 'em, join us, because we dress like the folks who beat you.")

Nonetheless, as small blogging efforts go, it's worth a look, and a few minutes spent making up your own mind. There are all different kinds of Democrats, after all, and that's generally a good thing, to the exact extent that we aren't too busy calling each other names to remember that differences are a good thing.

I've blogrolled and syndicated, and I'll be following them for the time being.

Check them out:
