Oh, Arnie, you shouldn't have...

I mean, you really shouldn't have used government employees to staff campaign events.

Governor's Initiative Campaign Raises Questions About Staff Involvement
(KXTV) A statewide advocacy group filed a legal complaint Wednesday asking for an investigation into allegations the governor uses government staff at campaign events.

The group California Association of Community Organizations for Reform NOW believes Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's campaign to put reform initiatives on the ballot has raised questions about whether he is breaking the law by using government staff for campaign purposes. The organization, better know by the acronym ACORN, plans to ask the Fair Political Practices Commission or a local district attorney to take a closer look at the governor's use of government staff at campaign events.

Last Wednesday, Schwarzenegger dropped off signed petitions at the Sacramento County elections office. Government-paid advance staff helped out at the event.

Government staff were also present on Thursday when the governor pushed his redistricting plan in Elk Grove. Advance man Kevin Luiz helped orchestrate the event. State employee Steve Hellon photographed it, while two of the governor's press aides looked on, calling a halt to questions.

ACORN has petitioned the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), which I'm already watching closely as that agency's own court challenge to Schwarzenegger's fundraising practices moves forward.
