King Conan


I think it's kind of nice that if Arnold doesn't run for Governor again (or if, as is looking increasingly likely though far from certain, he runs again and we whip his ass), he'll still have work.

Robert Rodriguez to Helm Conan
(ComingSoon.net) TheArnoldFans.com is reporting they have confirmed an earlier report that Sin City director Robert Rodriguez has been tapped by Warner Bros. Pictures to helm a new version of Conan. The studio is no longer going with Conan the Barbarian director John Milius for the project. Milius was developing a film titled King Conan: Crown of Iron.

The site adds that if Rodriguez can get Arnold Schwarzenegger to star in the film, the project would still be "King Conan" but would have a new script. If Schwarzenegger is not available, you can expect an all new Conan.


This story was weirder for me the first time I saw the headline because, despite the context violation, I thought they meant Richard Rodriguez, the gay Hispanic author of Hunger of Memory. Not that it wouldn't be totally rad if he directed a Conan movie.
