It's official: Angelides will announce next Tuesday


This is something that has always amused me about American politics.

Isn't saying you're going to announce the same as announcing?

Here's the "scoop":
If Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger decides to run for re-election next year, he is about to get his first challenger. State Treasurer Phil Angelides' campaign office confirmed Thursday that he will announce next Tuesday his candidacy for governor, becoming the first Democrat to launch a campaign.
