Angelides fundraiser: Tuesday, March 15th


In two weeks, Treasurer Phil will formally throw his hat into the ring at what I believe will be the first official fundraiser for his campaign.

As I learned from the Examiner, it's a bit outside my price range. :
Obviously undeterred by a poll showing him lagging Rob "Meathead" Reiner for next year's Democratic primary, state Treasurer Phil Angelides is staging a gubernatorial fund-raiser at the Regency ballroom March 15 for $250 a head.

Benefactors wishing to send a poor Indian child to a fundraiser — for the price of just 200 cups of coffee! — can of course apply here.

Remember, E-M-I-L-Y, and certainly every little dough-risin' bit helps in a campaign for which the opposition can spend the entire year prior to the election raising money for ballot initiatives that are at least putatively unrelated to his own campaign.
