Confidential to Night Light

This is a bloggers vs. bloggers thing and therefore of limited interest to the casual reader (though I sometimes wonder how many casual readers there really are in the blogosphere, and to what extent blogging has blurred the distinction between producers and consumers of journalism/"journalism"), so I won't go into too much detail. If you care about the internal politics of the liberal blogosphere, however, do read on.

There's been a casualty of the recent dust-up over Howard Dean's comments about the GOP (I'll link to Waveflux, with whom I more or less disagree on this subject, but who is as always balanced and measured in his discussion of a tough issue).

I want to be on the record as saying: RJ Eskow of Night Light, we have your back. You were treated unfairly and there's nothing about what happened that doesn't stink.

We can't start censoring each other for failing to conform our words with the orthodoxies of the powerful.
