Have a great long weekend! Plus: Exciting domain name news

I'm going to Tahoe until Tuesday, to honor our beloved Presidents by reading, gambling, inner-tubing (if my poor hurt ankle is up to it), driving a borrowed hybrid SUV, and engaging in copious president-honoring libations.

So, no entries for a few days.

I did want to take this opportunity to say that I've been gratified by the attention the blog has been getting so far. Daily readership is at around 25 unique visitors, which isn't a lot, but the copious feedback I've been getting from all of you — as well as the small but significant number of highly positioned Democrats who have seen fit to scold me on one issue or the other —has made me feel like this is a worthwhile enterprise. It will continue unabated after I return.

In more Marching Orders news: I just registered marchingorders.org (don't bother looking; there's nothing there yet), and sometime next week we'll be moving there. My brother Garth and dear friend Scott have been kind enough to offer us some space on their server; we just need to work out a few security issues with iBlog before the move.

At that point, a little diddling with the format will occur, and we're on schedule for a formal "launch" (i.e., I send an email to everyone I know whom I think will care, and ask you to do the same) around March 1.

Try not to miss me too much, and enjoy your weekends.
